Child Sponsorship (SAD) projects are found within local self-development initiatives to help children who live in conditions of suffering, malnutrition and abandonment, to have a dignified infancy without needing to leave their homelands.
The SAD periodically supplies an economic contribution to be used for the children's basic necessities (food, water, healthcare) and for their educational growth (primary and secondary education, technical formation)
Child Sponsorship is the simplest act of charity.
It is an act of solidarity that ensures a better future for the children in their own homeland, amongst their people and their family.
It is an active rebuilding of the unjust living conditions of the children

It is a refusal of limitless and tasteless consumerism, which opens the heart at the needs of the world

What is peculiar of the CEFA-Child Sponsorship?- The CEFA-SAD projects are always inserted in broader initiatives of local self-development, so that the children, once out of childhood, may find opportunities for a better life within their own community
- The CEFA-SAD projects always offer services (foodstuffs, healthcare, schooling) and not money to the child or his/her family
- The CEFA-SAD projects usually target all the children of a specific local community to avoid the arising of discriminating circumstances between children who live in the same area
- The CEFA-SAD projects are supported by the vast organisational infrastructure at the heart of the local self-development projects and by CEFA volunteers who constantly invigilate on the correct use of our supporters' money
On request, CEFA will provide a picture and the vital statistics of the child linked to the SAD.
Every six months, an update on the project's work and on the activities undertaken in the Centre where the child is inserted will be sent to our supporters.
Donations made to CEFA enjoy tax breaks and at the beginning of every year CEFA will send to its supporters the fiscal receipt of the amount donated the year before.
Our supporters will also be sent the three-monthly CEFA magazine free of any charge.
